Heidi made our Warwick Women’s Weekend so special. Five dear friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian dinner Heidi created and crafted for us, and everything from the planning to the execution to the clean up was remarkable. Heidi is personable, charming, knowledgeable, and has an exceptional eye for detail. Our group of friends had high expectations, and Heidi exceeded them all.
Heidi catered our wedding for us, and from when I first contacted her on day one, she was absolutely phenomenal!! We couldn’t be happier. She worked with me, my fiancé and my mom so well, catering to our needs. She was always professional, friendly, helpful, and flexible. Everything she prepared for us at the tasting was amazing, it was so hard to choose! At the wedding, everything ran so smoothly, the food was out on time, and all of her servers were friendly, polite, and professional. All of the food turned out to be delicious! We were so happy, and many of our guests said it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. Heidi also took care of our rentals for us, provided coffee service, and cake cutting. Everything ran so smoothly. We were 110% satisfied, and would whole-heartedly recommend Blackercatering!!!
We hired chef Heidi for our annual department cocktail party of 60 people. She and her assistant were friendly and knowledgeable. Superbly delicious tapas and other appetizers! Everyone kept asking for more of the summer rolls. She even made some excellent decor suggestions that significantly added to the event. We would hire her again and highly recommend her to others.
On December 9th 2017, I attended a farewell party that was catered by Chef Heidi. She did an excellent job. The food was amazing, the salmon was cooked to perfection, delicious and moist. She is very professional and enjoys her work. At the end of the night everyone had many positive comments about the evening. Hurray! Heidi good going.
I attended a party this weekend catered by Blacker Catering. The food was very good, the presentation was done well. Heidi was very professional and worked with ease and confidence. I am going to keep her in mind when I am looking for a caterer and will definitely recommend her to all my friends. A job well done!
We hired Heidi to cater a BBQ for our project team of about 25 people, and everything from menu development to cooking to serving went brilliantly. Everyone had a great time and had rave reviews about the dishes, all of which were delicious and interesting. We also have a severe allergy and Heidi was careful to avoid the offending ingredient. She was kind, diligent, and professional throughout the multi-hour event.
We hired Heidi to cook hors d’oeuvres for my engagement party which had about 40 people. All the food was really delicious! Her ribs were definitely a crowd pleaser. I was a little worried that they would potentially be awkward to eat in stand-up casual environment but the meat fell off the bone so easily that they worked out perfectly. The event was held in an apartment with an open floor plan and kitchen. Heidi was such a smooth operator that people didn’t even notice that they were essentially in the kitchen with her.
Leading up to the event Heidi helped planned the menu and gave me the sensation that she had everything under control and I didn’t need to worry about anything.
I would definitely recommend Heidi for future events.

She was very professional and yet so warm and friendly that by the time she left, I felt like she was a real friend.. I especially loved that she shared recipes and techniques while cooking which I know I will incorporate. It was a fine dining, restaurant-quality meal and a cooking lesson as well. Plan on doing it again!
Heidi helped us with setting up, cooking (grilling) and cleanup for our BBQ party, which had about 50 guests. Heidi was amazing from the time she arrived. She was on time, was dressed for the occasion, looked clean, was friendly and kind with guests. She definitely knows about food and catering. She knew exactly what food to put out depending on the time of day, when to bring out the food, how much food to grill (she staggered it throughout the day) as well as to when to bring out dessert. At the end, she helped us with the clean up and everyone was full and happy. The food tasted really good too. Thanks Heidi for helping us with our BBQ, we couldn’t have done it without you!!
Heidi did an amazing job at our friends going away party. Her mac and cheese muffins, stuffed mushrooms and quinoa cakes were a hit! Our friends kept asking for more. Heidi was professional and organized, she also had a great sense of style in displaying the food beautifully! She’s got my vote!!

Heidi did an awesome job catering our wedding on May 16, 2015 on the Upper West Side. She was very professional and was always available if we had any questions. Our guests enjoyed the food and everything was well organized. Heidi went above and beyond in making homemade bruschetta when her supplier ran out. After the reception everything was left tidy by her staff. I would definitely recommend her.

I appreciate how adaptable Heidi was, since it was an informal brunch with people wandering in and out of the kitchen and surely getting in her way. We are still basking thanks to Heidi!
Our 2004 wedding in Dumbo! Heidi did an amazing job catering our wedding reception! I have one word – DELICIOUS! The Hor’s deouvres you came up with for our reception were simple, yet tasty. You also organized all the waiters and had them arrange everything in a way that looked beautiful on the table. To do that for 220 people is not easy, but you nailed it. Working with you was easy, you provided us with a tasting menu of different options to choose from and worked within our budget. To this very day, guests still talk about how good the food was at our wedding. Thanks for making our special day so memorable!

Heidi came in and helped us during a crunch time in our lives when, for various reasons, we couldn’t manage to put home-cooked, healthy meals on the dinner table. She listened to our tastes, took our picky eaters into account, and made us some wonderful meals that my kids and I absolutely loved. Greek lemon-chicken soup? YES!! That was the hands-down favorite and I definitely recommend it. Her fajitas were also a hit. We’ll be calling her again, for sure.
